ALDAR Properties PJSC, a leading integrated property development company, has been bestowed with the “Special Academic/Industry Partnership” Award by the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). The award was presented to Aldar at a special ceremony hosted by HCT's Abu Dhabi Women's College's on Tuesday as part of the College's “Tamayyuz: Partnership Celebration” to recognize the outstanding contributions of community partners to the college. Abdulla Zamzam, Aldar's chief economic and administration officer, who received the award on behalf of Abu Dhabi's leading property developer, said: “It is a great honor for Aldar to see its initiatives in the area of corporate social responsibility gain the recognition of a leading institution like HCT, which has an impressive record of contribution to the community. Corporate social responsibility has always been at the core of Aldar's mission and this has translated into a multitude of initiatives in a wide range of pursuits.” Aldar said in May that it was sponsoring the chair, “Dean of Business Studies”, at HCT. Under the agreement, Aldar will sponsor five UAE nationals in HCT's real estate management program. Specialized seminars and training programs relevant to the real estate industry will also be offered to HCT students. Other aspects of the agreement include internship programs with Aldar to help HCT students build on-the-job skills. Ahmed Ali Al-Sayegh, chairman, Aldar Properties, said the agreement is “another testament to Aldar's commitment to its social responsibilities.” “As a leading property developer, Aldar is naturally keen to see that young nationals take up business studies, including ones specifically focused on real estate management." __
