RIYADH: The 2010 winners of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz International Award for Translation were announced late Saturday by Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah at a ceremony in Riyadh. The award for Efforts of Organization and Institution went to the Arab Organization for Translation, a body launched in 1999 which has produced 125 works in various fields and translated from numerous languages including English, French, German and Italian. In the category of translation of Natural Sciences from Other Languages into Arabic, the award was shared between: Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Zughaibi for his translation from the original English of “Physiology” by Linda Costanzo, and Abdullah Bin Ali Al-Ghasham and Yousif Ahmad Barakat for their translation of Martin Eastwood's “Principles of Human Nutrition”. The award for translation of Human Sciences from Other Languages into Arabic was shared between George Zainati for his translation of “Memory, History, Forgetfulness” by Paul Ricoeur, and Muhammad Badawi for his translation from English of “The Interpretation of Cultures” by Clifford Geertz. The award for Human Sciences from Arabic into Other Languages was shared between Franz Schaub, and Yolanda Guardi and Hussein Bin Shina, for their translations into German and Italian respectively of works by Ibn Rushd and Ahmad Al
