TABUK: The Ministry of Health has uncovered tampering with contracts awarded by the Tabuk Health Administration worth SR4 million for medical materials and office stationery, and unauthorized signatures on the documents, officials said. Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learned that an investigation committee has completed its work, which included interrogating a number of top officials and employees, and forwarded its recommendations in preparation for the issuance of decisions. Sources said a number of top officials who were interrogated are now in bad psychological state due to fears they will be punished The committee was formed on the orders of the Minister of Health, under the chairmanship of Saud Al-Rafi'ah, Director General of Control, after it discovered that tendering documents were tampered with and there were surpluses over the contract amount, officials said. The committee, which completed its work last week, investigated leading officials and employees, and the transactions, which were checked on the ground, Owdah Al-Attawi, spokesman for Tabuk Health Administration,said.
