MADINA: The Bangladeshi Consul General in the Kingdom has urged Bangladeshis who have come to the country to work to approach the embassy with any issues they may have, “particularly financial problems or transfer of sponsorship”. Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette in the light of increasing numbers of Bangladeshis gathering at embassy offices for help, Muhammad Maizan Al-Rahman said that “many” Bangladeshis arrive in the country to find themselves transferred into professions for which they were not recruited. “The embassy has intervened to solve numerous problems to which Bangladeshis have been subjected, but the coordination between official authorities in the Kingdom and the Bangladeshi embassy and the consulate has been good in handling them,” Al-Rahman said. “There are approximately one and a half million Bangladeshis in the Kingdom, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other authorities have been helping us with document procedures and addressing their problems in all parts of the Kingdom.”
