RIYADH: Algerian conjoined twins, Ekram and Sara, arrived in Riyadh Wednesday with their parents for a medical examination to determine whether they can be separated at King Abdul Aziz Medical City. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health and chairman of the surgical team, said the “fatherly gesture” of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, shows his care for Arabs and Muslims. Alhabeeb Adami, the Algerian ambassador to the Kingdom, said that it was his “pleasure, on behalf of the people and government of Algeria, to express his utmost thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques”. The twins' parents also thanked the King who they said has “become a symbol of hope for many children around the world”.
