Faisal, Emir of Makkah, has urged contractors to work as quickly as possible to complete the upcoming Ruwais and Khuzam projects. He said the government has done everything it can to facilitate the completion of the projects. He said King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, had consented to call for the establishment of a subsidiary committee to tackle the problem of the flood and rain water drainage system and given them the full authority to carry out the infrastructure construction in the undeveloped districts. He made the comments while signing two offers made by Ruwais and Khuzam companies. He said the King's decision to facilitate the procedures will help to reduce costs of development in these unplanned districts by 25 percent. He said the two companies will start carrying out the two projects in Ruwais and Khuzam in the next few weeks. Also present at the meeting was Dr. Hani Abu Ras, Mayor of Jeddah.
