Qura Women's Charitable Society represented by the Women's Makkah District held a workshop Monday on “How to Become a Productive Person”. The event was part of activities of the “Communication for Security” campaign it is organizing to acquaint people with district councils and their roles in maintaining society's security. Majida Sidqi from the “Bab Rizq Jameel” project spoke about the methods and means women can use to become productive and contribute to the nation's development. In another seminar, Dr. Su'ad Khaleel and Dr. Iman Fawzi spoke about the work women must carry out to protect the security and safety of their districts. They said this can be achieved through residents cooperating with each other giving great attention to the proper upbringing of children. The campaign aims to instill the values of citizenship and affiliation in everyone to protect the nation's resources; stimulate the district councils' roles in building society's religious and behavioral morals; create awareness among the district's residents by using methods for preventing drug abuse and terrorism; provide district residents with scientific and practical methods for countering unemployment; and enlighten society about official agencies' roles in maintaining security. The campaign stresses the roles of citizens and expatriates in boosting national security through full cooperation with official authorities and disseminating and deepening the culture of volunteerism.
