(Okaz photo) RIYADH: Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health, has said that foreign organizations have been brought in to gauge the “level of the Saudi public's satisfaction with the ministry's programs”. He said the survey's conclusions would be published “whether they are positive or negative”. Speaking at the launch of a blood-donation campaign in Riyadh Sunday, Al-Rabeah said the ministry was going through a “considerable organizational, administrative and medical shake-up”. “The ministry wants to be transparent before the public, and its publishing of programs and projects will enable people to know what is going on inside the ministry,” he said. Al-Rabeah said the ministry had projects for home medicine and medical errors, and that periodical evaluation of its programs was being conducted to ensure the public “sees the fruits”. “The ministry's strategy covers ten years, and the government is concerned to secure the financial resources for it and approve it soon so the results can be seen on the ground,” he said. “The strategy is looking for integration between the health sectors, medical projects, preventive medicine and fairness in the distribution of health services.”
