RIYADH: A man in his twenties has confessed to killing a housemaid of Asian nationality and burning her body after she became pregnant from their “illicit relationship”. Nasser Al-Qahtani, spokesman for Riyadh Police, said the maid, who had been in the employment of a female relative of the accused in the Al-Dawadami region of Riyadh, is believed to have asked her employer to terminate her services so she could leave the country and return home. “The man gave the maid a lift from Al-Dawadami to Riyadh, and on the way she told him she was pregnant,” he said. “He got angry and strangled her, and then burned the body and abandoned it in the desert.” It was not reported when the incident occurred, but the spokesman said the accused handed himself in to the authorities “two days after” and led officials to the site of the body.
