PHILADELPHIA: Andrej Meszaros scored at 4:42 of overtime to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders in the NHL Thursday night. Meszaros struck a 25-footer from the slot over Al Montoya's right shoulder for his fifth goal of the season. Mike Richards, Jeff Carter and James van Riemsdyk also scored for the Flyers. Matt Martin had two goals for the Islanders, including a shot with 27.2 seconds left in the third period to send the game into overtime. The Flyers have won 12 straight over the Islanders at home, and 19 of their last 20 games overall against New York. Kings 4, Wild 2: In Los Angeles, Wayne Simmonds scored two goals and Jonathan Bernier made 25 saves as the Kings defeated the Wild. Drew Doughty scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period and Anze Kopitar added an empty-net goal with 1:14 to play for the surging Kings, who have won 10 of their last 14 games. Brent Burns had a goal and an assist for the Wild, who have lost four of six. Maple Leafs 5, Canadiens 4: In Montreal, Phil Kessel had two power-play goals and two assists, and Tyler Bozak had two goals and an assist to lead Toronto over Montreal. Kessel assisted on both of Bozak's goals as Toronto recovered after wasting an early 3-1 lead. James Wisniewski and Michael Cammalleri scored power-play goals 20 seconds apart early in the second to draw Montreal even at 3. Blackhawks 3, Predators 0: In Nashville, Tennessee, Corey Crawford stopped 31 shots as Chicago beat Nashville to win its third straight game. Stars 4, Red Wings 1: In Detroit, Mike Ribeiro, Loui Eriksson, Krystofer Barch and Jamie Langenbrunner scored goals to help struggling Dallas beat Detroit. Canucks 3, Blues 2: In Vancouver, British Columbia, Manny Malhotra scored the go-ahead goal 1:05 into the third period to lead Vancouver past St. Louis.
