Rabeah, Minister of Health, has said that 17 programs have been introduced to curb medical errors and address the shortage of hospital beds. Speaking at the launch of the ministry's website to mark the return to the country of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Al-Rabeah said that the Ministry of Health strategy would be put before the relevant authorities in the near future once it has been fully studied. “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has asked me to pass on his best wishes to all patients and ensure that they are receiving the best possible health care,” the minister said. “Our activities over the next four days include schools, markets and all Ministry of Health officials.” Al-Rabeah said that health check-ups would be given to the public at markets and schools, and that other activities included blood donations and health awareness campaigns. He added that the new website and the ministry's electronic system was an ongoing project. “Transparency is the most ideal way to proceed and we are working hard to finish the computerization programs at the ministry,” he said.
