RIYADH: A number of Saudi businesswomen in Riyadh have expressed their heartfelt happiness at the recovery and safe return of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. They thanked Allah for his safe return to continue the comprehensive development he has initiated. They said King Abdullah has contributed to the Kingdom's progress by launching several initiatives and developmental programs in the economic, scientific, educational, industrial, agricultural and medical fields. They said the King has ensured Saudi women have been given utmost attention and care, which has enabled them to effectively participate in the country's development and decision-making. Princess Hela Bint Abdul Rahman, Director of the businesswomen's branch at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh, said it gave her “great pleasure” to express her feelings at the recovery of the King. “No wonder the entire nation is rejoicing at the King's return, which reflects their love and loyalty to him.” Huda Al-Juraisi, Chairwoman of the Executive Council of Businesswomen at the Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh, echoed this view, saying that “the delight shown by citizens at the King's return is conclusive evidence of the bonds of love linking the judicious leadership and citizens. This great love the nation has for the loyal King can be attributed to the great care he gives to his people and his unlimited efforts to meet their needs. It also reflects their loyalty for their beloved King. His farsightedness and wisdom has saved the country from the global financial crisis”. Fayza Abalkhail, Deputy Chairwomen of the Executive Businesswomen's Council at the Chamber, said: “We are very grateful to Allah for the recovery and safe return of our beloved King.” She said the welfare of Saudi citizens has always been the prime concern of the King during his absence. Rima Al-Rasheed, a member of the council, said Saudi people genuinely love the King who started several important initiatives which has led to unprecedented progress in the Kingdom. She also stressed the King's support of women and their contribution to building the country's economy.
