MADINA: On the safe return of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Ministry of Health will launch a campaign named “Salamat” with the motto of “Welcome Back King of Hearts”. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health, undersecretaries, senior officials, directors of health affairs and hospital directors will visit hospitals to convey to the King's greetings to patients and his wishes for their speedy recovery. The patients will also receive a written message from the minister along with flowers and sweets. The ministry's message is adorned with the holy verse “If you fall ill, Almighty Allah recovers you.” It also says, “May Allah save all of you. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has bestowed on me the honor of conveying to you his greetings and his hearty wishes for your speedy recovery as well his supplications to Almighty Allah to purify your souls and bodies of all ailments.” The letter bears the minister's signature. Dr. Khaled Merghalani, the ministry's Media and Health Awareness Director General, said the message will be simultaneously sent to all Saudi patients abroad. There will also be visits to the homes of 6,000 patients who receive treatment under the ministry's home medical program. The same message will be delivered to them. Apart from this, he said the ministry will send medical teams to malls and commercial centers, airports and some public agencies to restart the ministry' service of routine check-ups which includes hypertension and diabetes tests. The campaign will last for three days. He said the ministry's staff will also donate blood as a token of love to the King. The minister of health will start the campaign.
