Lecture on WTO also on the agenda RIYADH: The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) said it has started preparing to hold an industrial investment opportunities symposium to highlight new prospects. There will also be a symposium about the future of car industry in the Kingdom, which will discuss the role played by King Saud University in developing the Ghazal 1 car and the project for Asseela car being carried out by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. The symposium will also include a lecture on the World Trade Organization organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The RCCI has also approved arrangements for several activities to boost its service to the industrial sector. The coordination and follow-up working team held a meeting chaired by Ahmad Al-Rajhi, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Industrial Committee, which approved holding the annual meeting for industrial committees in the Kingdom in Riyadh on March 20. The team also approved following up on recommendations of the technical aid program for national factories being provided by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consultations, through a team of experts helping factories in GCC countries overcome obstacles to production, operation and maintenance. In its initial stages, the program has benefited some factories in the Kingdom, officials said. Chamber officials look forward to a team of experts opening an office in the Kingdom and said they would prepare a memorandum addressing the matter and provide it to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
