THE Fine Arts and Arabic Calligraphy Committee from the Arts and Culture Society in Dammam has invited artists to take part in its “Black x White” and “Exhibition x Exhibition” shows which seek to promote the largest number possible of artists. Organizers say that in promoting their work they also hope to reassert the importance of drawing and pencil shading as a starting point for all artistic talent. “The two exhibitions will also be accompanied by a daily arts workshop on the ways of handling artistic tools and implements, and which will include a video on pencil, ink and charcoal drawing,” said Sha'a' Al-Dossari of the Fine Arts and Arabic Calligraphy Committee.
