JIZAN: Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser, Emir of Jizan, has urged regional council committees to up their efforts to service of the region and its people. Prince Muhammad said the council's Planning Committee was the “backbone of the council.” “It is tasked with following up the implementation of development projects stated in the budget, projects worth SR4 billion,” he said. He said the committees had reviewed all projects approved in this year's budget, including civic works for the mayoralty at the cost of SR1 billion – SR728 million for road and transport works, SR802 million for water projects, SR684 million for health projects and SR482 million for educational projects, along with other smaller projects worth SR174 million. Prince Muhammad also felicitated the public on the recovery of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, saying that the people are looking forward to celebrating his safe return.
