JEDDAH: Turkish Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat Ergun, accompanied by Salih Mutlu, the Consul General of Turkey in Jeddah, visited recently Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), an initiative of ALJ Community Initiatives in Jeddah. Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, Chief Job Creator at BRJ, and Dr. Saad Attiya Al Ghamdi, Senior Deputy President at Abdul Latif Jameel Group, received the guests. During the visit, the guests toured BRJ departments and met with the employees, while Dr. Fatih Gol, BRJ Director at Turkey introduced a presentation about BRJ activities in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries, and specifically in the Republic of Turkey. The guests were also briefed about BRJ's job creation programs and activities, including the goals, programs and method of operation. The presentation included the number of jobs created during the past years, as well as the plans for the upcoming five years. The Turkish minister commended the programs conducted by BRJ, saying that "I am happy to see that BRJ (our job is job creation) is a very successful initiative, which has been completely developed by ALJ." Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel said that the visit will inspire BRJ staff to show more efforts and expand the circle of beneficiaries from BRJ local and international branches. BRJ is sparing no effort to create job opportunities in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries, such as Egypt and Syria, in addition to Turkey. In 2010, BRJ created 45,010 jobs in Saudi Arabia, and 16,898 jobs in other countries.
