day annual 4th Asian Film Festival starts here Wednesday. A film from Philippines will be featureed on the opening day, announced Ezzedin Tago, Philippine Consul General and news coordinator of the Asian Consuls General Club (ACGC) here, Monday. The festival will be held at two venues, the Consulate General of Brunei on Wednesday and Thursday and from Feb. 24 to 28. The second venue is the Consulate General of Sri Lanka (Feb. 18-23). To underline Asian unity in diversity, a food festival of culinary delights from each participating country shall be held on the last day of the festival. The festival's opening will be held at the Quadrangle of the Brunei Consulate General here Wednesday with a Philippine feature film “Fidel” and will be followed by an Indonesian documentary “Ultimate in Diversity” and feature film “ Sang Pemimpi (The Dreamer) on Feb. 17. Bangladeshi documentary “Discover Bangladesh” and a feature film “Duratta” (The Alienation) will be featured at the Sri Lankan Consulate the following day. On Feb. 19, a Korean documentary “A Sparkling Journey to Korea” and a feature film “Le Grand Chef” will be shown. On Feb. 20, a Pakistani documentary “Story of Pakistan” and Saudi documentary “Jeddah, Meeting of Cultures and Civilization” Saudi short films “Shadow of Silence” and “Ayesh” (Bread) will be featured. On Feb. 21, Chinese documentary “Tea Culture” and feature film “Desert Family” are scheduled. On Feb. 22, Sri Lankan documentary “Film Locations in Sri-Lanka” and feature film “Yahaluwo” will be shown. On Feb. 23, Indian documentary “Incredible India” and a feature film “3 Idiots” will be shown. On Feb. 24, Malaysian documentary “Sabah, Malaysian Borneo” and feature film “Labu & Labi” will be shown at the Brunei Consulate General, followed by a short film from Thailand “Phuket”and a feature film“Best of Times” on Feb. 25. The following day, Japanese documentary “Visit Japan” and feature film “Love Letter” will be shown. On Feb. 27, Singapore documentary “Miracle of Asia – Singapore Success Story” and feature film “Just Follow Law” will be shown. The Brunei Consulate General will show a short film “Budi Kasih Harum Dijulang” on Feb. 28, the last day of the festival. Entry into the film festival is through invitation cards only.
