RIYADH: Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, has stressed the importance of continuing to produce and develop the standard of health awareness programs. He expressed appreciation for the working group at Radio Riyadh that produced the program “Ramadan flashes” (Flashat Ramazaniah), which was broadcast during the holy month of Ramadan and has won the Gulf Distinctiveness Prize in the field of health information. The prize was awarded by the Executive Office of the Council of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Health. In a statement Monday after receiving the program's prize from the working group, Khoja said short awareness messages play an important role in today's fast-moving information environment. The minister urged officials at Saudi Radio to continue producing awareness programs in all fields to keep pace with developments taking place under the leadership of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He said Saudi Radio has always proved to be distinctive at Arab festivals and contests.
