JEDDAH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the Regional Conference for the Security of Civil Aviation due to start in New Delhi, India on Monday under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Prince Turki Bin Faisal Bin Turki, Vice President of the Civil Aviation Authority for Organizational Affairs, will head the Saudi delegation to the two-day conference, which aims to prepare a road map for aviation security. In a statement, the Prince said that the Kingdom plays a leading role in the region and will contribute constructively and positively to the road map. He pointed out that the Kingdom has been a strong supporter of cooperation in aviation security at all levels, including continuing support for ICAO's role in countering criminal and subversive acts. Prince Turki noted that the Kingdom has a firm and clear commitment to fight all forms of terrorism, including terrorist acts targeting civil aviation or using civil aircraft as weapons of mass destruction.
