JEDDAH: The Human Rights Commission (HRC) has lauded Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, for his work to alleviate the flood damage to Jeddah and his promise that everyone affected will be promptly and fairly compensated. Bandar Al-Aiban, President of the HRC, said that Prince Khaled was closely following the situation to ensure that all persons affected by the floods had access to their rights as per royal orders. “We would like to thank the Emir of Makkah and Prince Mish'al Bin Majed, the Governor of Jeddah, for their attention to the needs of the victims of the floods, whose homes and property were invaded by waters causing considerable damage,” Al-Aiban said. The HRC head paid a visit last week to Jeddah's flood-hit districts in which he spoke to residents and held consultations with Prince Khaled.
