NAJRAN: Prince Mish'al Bin Abdullah, Emir of Najran, is scheduled to launch the deliberations of an investment forum in Najran region under the motto “The land of limitless opportunities”, to be held from Feb. 11 to 13. A number of Saudi, Arab and foreign businessmen are expected to participate in the forum, which is the first of its kind and is being organized by the governorate of Najran region in collaboration with the Najran Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) and is being sponsored by Okaz newspaper. The forum aims to present Najran as a region of limitless investment opportunities. Official and private economic and investment leaders and groups are expected to participate, including the Office for Administrative and Educational Consultations and Conference Organization, with support from the Najran Council for Investment, Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) and the Industrial Cities Commission. Dr. Ihab Bin Hassan Abu Rukbah, Secretary General of the forum, said the objectives of the gathering include offering numerous projects with high investment returns that would benefit the region. He said Najran is an attractive investment opportunity in various sectors. He pointed out that the Emir's office in Najran region welcomes and supports investors who would help to develop the economy of the region. He said the organizing committee has completed a study and has come up with a vision to develop the investment climate. It has specified investment projects based on the region's needs, especially in mining, tourism and agriculture. He emphasized that Najran is one of the virgin regions in the Kingdom and has numerous advantages in terms of location, topography and natural and historical resources.
