KHOBAR: Rezayat Group, service associate of HDFC Ltd, India's premier housing finance company, in association with Orion Consult, is hosting “India Homes”, a property presentation exclusively for non-resident Indians. The organizers announced this event in a press conference held at Carlton Al-Moaibed Hotel yesterday. The fair will be held at Carlton Moaibed Hotel in Al-Khobar on Feb 10-11 and at Riyadh Palace Hotel on Feb 13-14 in Riyadh and Feb 17-18 at Trident Hotel in Jeddah. The two-day exhibitions will feature 18 leading developers exhibiting projects from all across India including Kerala, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka states. International Indian School, Dammam Managing Committee chairman, Engr. John Thomas will inaugurate the event at Al-Khobar. Jaganathan, secretary of the India Business Forum (IBF), said that the property expo aims to provide a platform for home seekers to directly interact with a large group of renowned developers from India. “They can also seek information on their projects which are HDFC approved and also seek assistance on HDFC's Home Loan Advisory Services, at HDFC's “India Homes”. He said that around 100 crores business turn over was made in previous years. “Due to the large requirement from the Saudi market which has a good proportion of non-resident Indians, this is the 7th year of the Property Exhibition,” he added. Ajay Varma, who is in charge of HDFC in the Kingdom, said that the real estate market in India is still growing rapidly. “We have a good number of potential buyers in Saudi Arabia and Indian expats who visit our show can choose from a wide range of under construction and ready possession properties including flats, apartments, and row houses in the price range of Rs1.8 million to Rs60 million,” he said. He said that HDFC is providing loans for Indian expats based on their salary certificate, labor contract, bank statement and passport copy. By conducting such a show, the organizers aim to educate people on how to own a home, to find credible builders who do not exploit their customers and to find prime locations, says Tarun B. Nair, the chief coordinator of the expo.
