year-old Pakistani teenager wearing a military uniform was arrested Friday after he impersonated a security man and tried to con several workers in the Industrial Area of southern Jeddah, according to authorities. Police arrested the teen after receiving an urgent report that he was demanding money from workers in return for overlooking their violations and told them they would be deported if they didn't cooperate. After collecting information about the impersonator, security patrols rushed to the scene and noticed a car driven by a teenager who tried to speed away, but police cornered the car and arrested the suspect, police said. Preliminary investigations revealed that he used to threaten workers in workshops and blackmail them by impersonating an investigations security man, according to police. Col. Misfir Al-Ju'aid, spokesman of Jeddah Police said the suspect has been placed in the teenage detention facility and investigators are working to determine how he obtained the military uniform.
