JOHANNESBURG: Home favorite Kevin Anderson kept alive his hopes of a first career ATP title at the SA Tennis Open with a 6-7 (3), 6-0, 6-4 semifinal win over Adrian Mannarino of France at Montecasino Saturday. The South African will play unseeded Somdev Devvarman of India in Sunday's decider. Devvarman had earlier reached his first ATP final in two years by beating South African wild card Izak van der Merwe 6-2, 6-4. Johannesburg-born Anderson beat Devvarman in their only previous match at the 2010 US Open. Giraldo reaches final Eighth-seeded Santiago Giraldo of Colombia reached his first ATP final by defeating No. 5 Potito Starace of Italy 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-1 in the semifinals of the Movistar Open in Chile Saturday. In the other semifinal, No. 6 Tommy Robredo of Spain met No. 7 Fabio Fognini of Italy. Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil was knocked out in the quarterfinals by Fognini 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (0).In other quarterfinals, Giraldo defeated fourth-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina 6-4, 6-3, Starace overcame Argentina's Horacio Zeballos 6-7 (9), 6-3, 7-6 (2) and Robredo defeated Maximo Gonzalez of Argentina 6-3, 6-1. Dodig in final Unseeded Ivan Dodig of Croatia advanced to his first ATP final after rallying to beat third-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 at the Zagreb Indoors Saturday. Dodig's victory gives Croatia a finalist at home after its two highest-ranked players, Marin Cilic and Ivan Ljubicic, lost in the semifinals. Dodig, who beat Ljubicic, won the second set against Garcia-Lopez in the tiebreaker. He broke the Spaniard in the fourth game of the third set, and then served out the match without losing a point. In the final, Dodig will face the winner of the other semifinal later Saturday between Germany's Michael Berrer and Florian Mayer.
