JEDDAH: Amassing 337 points Blue House emerged champion in the III-V Block (boys) section of the International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) Sports Meet here. Finishing a close second was Green House which collected 312 points. Faris of Green House (21 points), Joshwag of Red House (19 points) and Bilal of Blue House (21 points) clinched the individual honors in Group A, B and C respectively. On the main day of the sports meet, Head Prefect Fahad Munawwar welcomed the gathering and chief guest Mrs Farida Karimuddin hoisted the flag. The orderly march past stole the show during the opening ceremony and Red House was adjudged as the best in the march past. Sports Secretary Omar Atheeq ur Rahman administered the oath of sportsmanship to the captains and all the participants. Mrs Karimuddin declared the meet open and spoke on the significance of participation in sports unmindful of defeat or victory. Later the boys of III-V presented a colorful and scintillating display of sports through dance to inspire the participants and boost their spirit of competition. Mohammed Adnan Khan added more color by demonstrating his skill in karate. Cricket and badminton were inducted during this academic year at the primary level. Blue House grabbed the title in cricket. The best batsman award went to Sartaj Yousufuddin and the best bowler was Farhan Masood. Edwin Sunny who emerged as the best player in badminton helped his Yellow House win the championship. Red House stood second.
