It was sea-saw battle up to the third quarter. Okaz played good defense in the final quarter to defuse the offense of Red Hot which tried hard to catch up but continued to miss important baskets. Llavore topscored with 16 points for Okaz and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Canon pumped in 15 points for Red Hot. It was a ding-dong battle up to final quarter. Balubaid Motors running game was not effective as Pizza Pizza managed to control the boards and played its offense well. Balubaid Motors called a timeout with only 45 seconds left in the final quarter. Pizza Pizza defense collapsed in the shaded area as Balubaid Motors' big guys showed toughness in the final offense. Trailing by three points Nisha of Pizza Pizza tried a three-pointer but the ball bounced off the rim and the final buzzer sounded. Roldan scored 17 points for the winner and was adjudged as the Wael Sports best player while Compertuz made 10 points for Pizza Pizza. In another match, Al-Tuwairqi scored over Fame 62-57 in the JBL 2011 Invitational Basketball League opener in the Bin Mahfouz basketball court. Both teams played well in the whole game. Al-Tuwairqi got a big boost from its team manager Ricky Nape in the final quarter. Fame almost won the game but an unforced error in the crucial seconds handed Al-Tuwairqi its first win. Sarmiento led Al-Tuwairqi with 18 points and was adjudged as the Giordano best player while Allen Arafol topscore with 19 points for Fame.
