(Courtesy photo)JEDDAH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has assigned five charitable organizations to carry on flood relief efforts starting Saturday. Consequently, the Event and Forum Center which was the main relief center for the flood victims here will be vacated by volunteers. “The emergency situation is over and all the things are now settling down. Therefore, the Ministry of Social Affairs has assigned five charitable organizations Al-Bir , Markaz Al-Ahya, Mastauda Al-Khayriya, Al-Faisliya and a women welfare charitable organization to continue the relief work,” said Nabeel Naseef, incharge of the Tawfiq documentation and quality control research center. “Volunteers engaged in relief efforts since the disaster struck last week will be absorbed by these charities,” said Nabeel. The disaster areas have been divided among charitable organizations, according to their locations and their emergency needs, food and other supplies. For providing medical assistance there are other organizations which are working with Zamzam charitable organization.
