MADINA: Five Saudi Airlines flights arrived at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Madina Monday bringing home approximately 1,000 passengers from Cairo. Abdul Fattah Atta, director of the airport, greeted them upon their arrival and ensured that all staff were fully prepared to ease their passage through the facility and secure transport and flights for those transferring to other destinations. Atif Tasiji, head of the airport's public relations, said that all preparations had been made ahead of the arrivals from the Egyptian capital and that a special work team had been set up the previous Friday to ensure all facilities were ready. He said he expected a further eight flights to arrive over the next few days. Passengers returning from Cairo, meanwhile, thanked the Saudi Embassy and its staff for its work in response to the situation in Egypt.
