THE organizers of Buildex 2011, a leading building and construction event to be held in March in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, are expecting greater success and a larger turnout this year on the back of a highly buoyant domestic construction market. The 13th in the series of international building and construction exhibitions, the event will take place over a 23,000-sq-m area at Dhahran International Exhibitions Complex. The exhibition will be held concurrently with the PMV Show – a heavy machinery and tower cranes exhibition – from March 13-17 , over 8,000 sq m of an indoor space and more than 15,000 sq m of outdoor area. The five-day event is seen by exhibitors as the ideal platform for launching new products, expanding their client base, meeting potential business partners, as well as boosting their presence in the kingdom's vibrant building and construction industry. Buildex 2010 was a success, attracting more than 22,000 visitors from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, the UAE, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Pakistan, and India. The show will focus on the latest materials and equipment related to the building and construction sector. The profile of exhibits includes building machinery and materials, heavy machinery, tower cranes, intelligent building solutions, construction technology, lighting, security and safety systems, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, marble, granite and ceramics products, earthmoving equipment, electrical equipment, environmental protection, interior finishing, water, insulation and engineering services. Visiting hours over the five days of the event are from 9:30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. and from 4 P.M. to 10 P.M.
