Amare Stoudemire scored 24 points, Gallinari finished with 20 points and Fields added 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Knicks won their second straight after a six-game losing streak. Dwyane Wade had 34 points and 16 rebounds, but missed all seven shots in the fourth quarter after he was 14 of 15 through three. LeBron James finished with 24 points, but was just 7 of 24 from the floor. The Heat, playing without Chris Bosh because of a sprained left ankle, lost for the fifth time in six games. They managed only 15 points in the fourth quarter as their seven-game winning streak against the Knicks was broken. Mavericks 111, Rockets 106: In Dallas, Tyson Chandler matched his season high with 21 points as Dallas hung on after wasting most of a 25-point first-half lead. J.J. Barea scored 19 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 18 and Jason Terry had 15 for the Mavericks, who have won four of five following a six-game losing streak. Luis Scola led Houston with 30 points, and Kevin Martin had 27. The Mavericks were ahead 64-47 at halftime, but Houston came back with 26-6 run in the third quarter. The Rockets pulled to 104-103 with 51.8 seconds left when Scola completed a 12-2 run with a tip-in, but Barea hit a 13-footer with 32.9 seconds to go and Terry made two free throws to seal the victory. Celtics 88, Trail Blazers 78: In Portland, Oregon, Ray Allen scored 18 points and Paul Pierce added 17 as Boston opened its West Coast road swing with a win over Portland. Rajon Rondo had 11 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Celtics, winners of seven of their last eight games. Kevin Garnett added 10 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, and Kendrick Perkins had 10 points and nine rebounds in his second game back since tearing knee ligaments in last year's NBA finals. LaMarcus Aldridge had 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Trail Blazers. James, Wade team up for East LeBron James and his Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade were both picked for the NBA All-Stars Thursday, joining Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose and Amar'e Stoudemire in an Eastern Conference starting team overflowing with talent. The Western Conference will be led by the evergreen Los Angeles Lakers' guard Kobe Bryant, who earned his 13th All-Stars selection after receiving more than 2.3 million fan votes, more than any other player. Bryant was joined by Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and China's Yao Ming, who was voted on despite being unavailable after undergoing ankle surgery which threatens his career. The NBA commissioner David Stern said he would choose a replacement for the enormously popular Yao once the All-Stars reserves have been picked. James and Wade will both be making their seventh All-Stars appearances but their first as teammates after James joined the Heat at the end of last season. Chris Bosh, the third member of Miami's big three, was not picked but could still be picked when the 30 NBA coaches vote on the reserves.
