DAMMAM: The Ministry of Education has set a number of criteria for women teachers who will supervise a tourism education program in girls' secondary schools that will be compulsory for all schools in the Kingdom. According to the Ministry's vision, the most prominent criteria that ought to be fulfilled when selecting female teachers is the requirement that they should be good examples for others to follow, in appearance and conduct, because they are responsible for executing the courses and serving as “ambassadors of her nation” to promote tourism. The teachers should also be well-read and have knowledge about how to highlight their nation's distinctive features and tourism and cultural potential. They should also be fully convinced of the importance of tourism education and disseminating its culture among the generations, the Ministry said. Criteria also include a high sense of responsibility, a personality that wins over the female students and boosts their knowledge, along with the ability to carry out tasks according to civil and time requirements. Those chosen for the program must also have time management skills and other skills for leading the working teams and distributing female students' roles according to their capabilities, taking into consideration the social and psychological aspects of female students.
