JEDDAH: A Saudi man has been sentenced to 15 years' prison in Iraq for entering the country illegally. Majed Al-Ghamdi, who was detained in 2003, has been suffering from “psychological problems” resulting from the failure to secure his return from Iraq, according to relatives. Al-Ghamdi's brother Ibrahim says Majed had been transferred from “prison to prison for five years without a trial”. “No accusations had been brought against him about entering Iraq illegally, where he has been now for eight years, until the verdict of 15 years' prison from the date of his detention was announced,” he said.
