year-old man committed suicide by burning himself to death in Sabia, south of the Kingdom, Friday. The man poured kerosine over his body and set himself on fire inside his house. The family members tried to douse the fire and called an ambulance. The Civil Defense was called to the hospital. It said 90 percent of the man's body was burned when its personnel arrived. Capt. Yahya Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the Civil Defense, said the police launched an investigation into the case to find out if there was any criminal act involved and the reasons for the man carrying out the act. The body was examined by the forensics department and the scene was also checked for evidence. The body is at the morgue of Samta General Hospital and will remain there until investigations are completed, he said.
