RIYADH: Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja, has approved the cultural program for the fifth Riyadh Book Fair that will take place from March 1 to 11. India will be the fair's guest of honor. The event will feature lectures, symposiums and other cultural activities. On March 2, as part of the fair's program, a lecture on “Saudi-Indian Cultural Relations” will take place after Maghreb prayers, followed by a lecture on “Arab Journalism and Publications in India” after Isha prayer. On Thursday there will be two lectures on “Features from Indian Culture” and the “Indian contribution to Islamic Arts, Intellect and Culture”. On the third day, Friday, a symposium entitled “Scientific Culture in Saudi Arabia” and a lecture on “The Reality of Scientific Culture in Arab Communities” will take place. On the fourth day there will be lectures on “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Efforts in Translation” and “The Experience of Creative Writing”. Other lectures and symposiums will also take place during the event.
