RIYADH: Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh region, who is also Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Endowments of King Saud University (KSU), chaired here on Tuesday evening the Committee's 3rd annual meeting. Prince Salman inspected the progress of works at the Project of KSU Endowments Towers and he was briefed by the President of the University Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman on the new projects. Addressing the meeting, Prince Salman said, “We praise to Allah Almighty that our country has been governed by a religious constitution of the Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah (Traditions) which are the bases of the government.” He commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for supporting foundations and facilities that benefit citizens. In his speech, Dr. Al-Othman expressed his thanks to Prince Salman for supporting the university and its endowments project. He said, “The land of this project and more than six million square meters of the land of the university have been donated by Prince Salman to serve as headquarters of the university within the framework of his support to science and knowledge-based institutions''. Thanks to the support and efforts of Prince Salman, he said businessmen have responded positively with generous donations to the Endowments Towers, pointing to the establishment of 117 research chairs.
