Gary Matthews Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero homered and Maicer Izturis hit a go-ahead single for the Angels, who snapped the six-game winning streak of Rays pitcher Scott Kazmir. Kazmir allowed three runs and three walks in 6 2-3 innings. Red Sox 6, Orioles 3: In Boston, pitcher Bartolo Colon got the 150th victory of his career with six strong innings as Boston downed Baltimore. Colon allowed just one run, reaching his milestone five days after his only loss of the season. Against the Orioles, Colon was staked to a 5-0 lead after just one inning. Colon struck out seven and walked only one. He improved to 150-96 in 311 starts. Athletics 8, Yankees 4: In Oakland, California, the home team roughed up New York pitcher Darrell Rasner early to set up a win. Jack Cust drove in three runs for the Athletics, including a two-run single in the six-run third inning that put the hosts in front for good. Rasner lost his fourth straight start. With one out in the ninth and bases loaded, second baseman Uggla crunched his 19th homer of the season.
