RIYADH: The selection committees for the King Faisal International Prize begin in Riyadh today Saturday their rounds of meetings which will continue for two days to select the award winners for 1432/2011. Abdullah Al-Othaimeen, the secretary general of the award, said that Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah and director general of the King Faisal Charity, will announce the winners of the five categories on Monday at a press conference at the Faisaliya Tower in Riyadh. The categories are: Service to Islam; Islamic Studies; Arabic Language and Literature; Medicine and Sciences.
