Faisal, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, said here Tuesday on arrival that he hoped the upcoming Arab summit in Damascus would focus on the Lebanese issue. Prince Saud, is on an official visit to Algeria, and will convey a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, to Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika. The Foreign Minister said in an arrival statement that Lebanon's participation in the summit is a pressing issue though the ongoing political crisis in Lebanon makes it unclear whether the country would participate in the summit. Algerian Foreign Affairs Minister Mourad Medelci and Saudi Ambassador to Algeria Sami As-Salih received Prince Saud at Houari Boum Dienne International Airport. Prince Saud told reporters that despite several attempts, to offer just solutions to the Lebanese crisis, particularly by the Arab League, the impasse remains and threatens the unity of Lebanon. Prince Saud said he seeks to discuss the Lebanese issue with Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika so as to arrive at a common vision on how to overcome the crisis. Speaking about his visit to Algeria, Prince Saud said it offers an opportunity for consultations and discussions with his Algerian counterpart on issues that concern the two countries and the Arab and Muslim world. He said he will sign a protocol for coordination between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries. __
