JIZAN: Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Jizan, said citizens living in southern border areas affected by the war against infiltrators will be relocated to appropriate locations where all services are provided. When the housing project for displaced citizens is complete, the people will be moved to five areas, he said, pointing out that this is in line with directives of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who always stresses the importance of securing honorable lives for displaced citizens. Prince Muhammad made the comments while laying the foundation stone for the housing project in Jizan for displaced citizens, which is being carried out by King Abdullah Foundation in Memory of his Parents. He also inaugurated the project's model unit and its electronic surveillance system, which includes cameras to monitor construction and document the architectural features. The residences have been designed to meet the families' requirements and match the traditions of the conservative Saudi society, said Dr. Ahmad Bin Hasan Al-Arjani, Secretary General of the foundation. He said the foundation will execute the project at five locations: Rawan, in Al-Aridha Governorate; Al-Hasma and Ramada, in Ahad Al-Masariha Governorate; and Al-Kharish and Al-Sahiy, in Al-Samta. The foundation is also making arrangements so young people in the area get training in different trades and skills so they can lead decent lives, he added. The project is in line with the King's directives issued last year when the Monarch inspected areas affected by the upheaval and ordered the construction of modern housing for citizens affected by the battles, Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen, Minister of Social Affairs and the project's supervisor general, said in his speech. In addition to the housing project, a dual-carriageway is being built at a cost of SR599 million, said Dr. Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al-Suwayyid, Undersecretary at Jizan Governorate.
