SABYA: There has been 100 percent Saudization of radiology jobs at all Ministry of Health hospitals and clinics, according to Dr. Ali Zaila', Deputy Director of the General Administration for Radiology. He was speaking on the sidelines of a three-day scientific meeting for the training of radiology workers, held at the King Fahd Central Hospital in Jizan on Tuesday. Also present was Yahya Sanousi, Assistant Director General of Health in Jizan.Zaila' said the Ministry of Health has laid down a plan for developing workers in the field of radiology and medical imaging, because systems have now gone digital. He said the ministry will sign an agreement with one of the Saudi universities to train radiology technicians through internal scholarships. He said that 500 external scholarships have been approved for radiology technicians to study abroad for their bachelors and masters degrees. The conference being held here is aimed at upgrading the skills of workers, including crisis management and the implementation of emergency plans. Programs are also being planned to educate and inform medical workers on their rights and the rights of patients.
