JEDDAH: Some rain is expected over Jeddah, Madina, Makkah and other parts of the Kingdom starting Monday, according to a weather forecast report issued by the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) Sunday. The report said it would be partly cloudy over parts of Makkah and Madina. There may be rain over Jeddah Monday night, which might extend to Madina region. The temperature will be a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 18 degrees Celsius in Jeddah. There may be some medium and low cloud appearing over southwestern and western highlands in the afternoon, with cumuliform cloud especially over the Baha highlands. There may also be a fresh wind over western parts of the Central Region which may reduce visibility. “We are expecting scattered rain in Jeddah Monday afternoon and Tuesday. The weather will be partly cloudy in Makkah and Madina with the expectation of some rain. In Makkah, there is an expectation of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and minimum of 18 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, there will be a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius and minimum of 19 degrees Celsius,” said Hassan Mira, the PME's deputy general manager and analyst. The wind will blow from the northwest over northern parts and southerly over southern parts with the speed at 15 to 35 kilometers per hour, and reaching up to 45 kilometers per hour over southern parts of the Kingdom. The weather for the next five days in Jeddah will be partly cloudy with a minimum chance of rain Monday and Tuesday.
