Crises in Pakistan n Due to the political and economic crises, Pakistan is passing through the worst stage of its history. Unfortunately, the major political parties in Pakistan still not realize the situation and learn a lesson from history. The people are astonished to see the corruption being perpetrated by their leaders. All major political parties of the country are not doing anything to alleviate the misery of general public – the rising rate of unemployment and prices of basic commodities as well as the power and water crises. The politicians only want to secure their own interest. The circle of corruption has reached most sensitive position in government. The interior minister claimed to have found fourteen million rupees gone to corruption in the Haj missions this year. Two key ministers have resigned after allegations of corruption in Haj arrangements this year. All major political parties are blaming each other in media with vile language no one can describe. Due to the hung parliament, some major groups want to bargain with their positions. The withdrawal of MQM and JUI from the present government makes it difficult to pass the general sales tax ordinance in the assembly which is necessary for new IMF Loans. The situation is a big lesson for MQM (Altaf), which controls Karachi, Pakistan's largest city and political hun. All major parties, including MPL Nawaz, have accused MQM (Altaf) of resorting to blackmailing techniques and Mafia style politics in country. Khawaja Umer Farooq, Jeddah __
