Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, President of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW) and Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) launched at his office in Riyadh the official website for SAFF (www.thesaff.com.sa). Prince Sultan expressed his gratitude to Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal, Deputy President of GPYW and Deputy Chairman of SAFF for his efforts in supervising work on the website. After the launching, Ahmed Sadiq Diyab, head of Media and Statistics Committee at SAFF, briefed the contents of the website. Diyab pointed out that the interactive website would undergo an experimental period for the coming six months, and will cover all the activities and news of the committees of SAFF. He added that the website will cover all SAFF competitions and participations beginning from the coming participation of the Saudi national team in the Asian Cup. Diyab added that the site is wholly managed by Saudis who have experience in administering official electronic websites. In addition to its front page, the site includes pages for the football federation, Zain Professional League commission, media center, national teams, competitions, teams, committees, regulations and photos. However, the site is in Arabic. Iraq wins Saudi Arabia lost 1-0 to Iraq in a friendly match at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam. Younes Mahmood scored the winner after 24 minutes. The goal came after 11 short passes before the ball reached Mahmood who headed into the Saudi goal. After the goal, Saudi players tried to level the score, but the opponents closed the door. Oliveira Ittihad coach Al-Ittihad club administration announced its members have agreed on Portuguese Antonio Oliveira to coach the football team in place of his compatriot Jose Manuel. Oliveira was selected due to his experience in Saudi football. The Portuguese football manager coached Al-Ittifaq team in 2007/2008 season and succeeded in taking the team to the final of the GCC Clubs Championship. Under the supervision of Oliveira, Ittifaq was ranked fourth in the domestic league.
