JEDDAH: Minister of Justice, Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Kareem Al-Issa, held talks in Riyadh Sunday with a team of experts from the United Nations' Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The minister and the team reviewed the ministry's performance in terms of human rights and discussed ways to cooperate and form partnerships. Al-Issa said that the Shariah requires the Kingdom to uphold human rights principles. Ibrahim Salama, Director of the Human Rights Treaties Division; Faraj Fniesh, head of the Middle East and North Africa Division; Alobaid Ahmed Alobaid, head of the United Nations Human Rights Center in Qatar; and Dr. Zaid Al-Hussein, Vice Chairman of the Human Rights Commission in Saudi Arabia, attended the meeting.
