RIYADH: Indonesian workers are expected to arrive in the country in three months' time because of a delay in procedures, according to the National Recruitment Committee of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The committee warned that some “unlicensed” recruitment offices are exploiting the matter and claiming that they can speed up the process in exchange for increased fees. On the agreement signed with Sri Lankan labor unions, to reduce the fees for recruiting Sri Lankan workers from SR8,500 to SR5,500, the committee said the agreement, that was supposed to be effective two months ago, was not implemented. This was because of issues between the union and authorities in that country. The country's government decided to postpone implementing the agreement to February.
