TAIF: Taif Hospital for the Mentally Ill has 300 patients who would be better off at home but whose families refuse to take them back, the regional director if Health Affairs has said. “We really need to promote religious awareness through contact with patients' families to take their relatives back into their care,” Abdul Rahman Karkaman told the hospital's monthly meeting of board executives. “These patients are in need of family care and reintroduction into society more than they need hospital care.” Health Affairs recently announced that the hospital has been provided with 120 extra nursing staff to “increase its technical capabilities”.
