MAKKAH: The Charitable Society for Orphans' Care in Makkah held a celebration Wednesday on the occasion of the wedding of two young men from the Society to two young women. The wedding party was held in the presence of Dr. Bakri Jassas, President of Umm Al-Qura University; Mahmood Safar, director of the society; 400 male and female orphans from Bait Al-Tifl (Child House) of the Umm Al-Qura Women's Society; and 200 guests. Hashim Abdullah Abdul Hadi married the daughter of Saleh Ali Al-Qarni and Omar Abdullah Abdul Muhsin, a scholarship student in Canada, married Samia Abdul Hafiz. In related news, the Maternity and Children's Hospital, represented by the Social Medical Department, recently held a function to celebrate World Orphans Day. The event was executed in collaboration with Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Social Services Department. A group of orphans aged between 8 and 20 from Bait Al-Tifl participated in the function, which gave them a touch of kindness mixed with the Society's love for them. The event, which included the wedding of a female orphan, reflected the cooperation between medical institutes and the Charitable Society for Orphans' Care to build social solidarity.
