Contractors ordered to fill in excavations

RIYADH: The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has ordered contractors executing municipal projects to fill in excavations as soon as work is completed, for public safety reasons.
In a circular issued to all mayor's offices and municipalities by the Minister, Prince Dr. Mansour Bin Miteb Bin Abdul Aziz, the ministry asked municipalities to fill in excavations and stagnant water pools in cities and villages.
The circular comes with the advent of the rainy season. The holes and ditches created by contractors and construction companies fill with water when it rains and pose a health risk to citizens and residents.
