RIYADH: Arab ministers of justice are scheduled to discuss a number of crucial issues at their meeting in Cairo on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21, including the Riyadh Arab Agreement for Judicial Cooperation, a draft protocol on sea piracy, a strategic plan for developing the judiciary and justice systems in the region, and mechanisms to oversee the work of the Council of Arab ministers of interior and justice. The Kingdom's delegation will be headed by Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Kareem Al-Issa, Minister of Justice. The Arab justice ministers' conference will also tackle proposals by the ministries of justice in Arab countries to counter human trafficking, and the detention and repatriation of criminals and others convicted of offenses, which was presented by Sudan. Other proposals, from Iraq, include a call for a unified Arab draft law for people with special needs and disabilities; and an Arab guidance draft law that will organize and help boost foreign and domestic investment in the Arab world. Yemen has prepared an Arab draft agreement for countering the trade in human organs; and a draft agreement banning human cloning. The conference will also include a meeting of the joint Council of Arab Ministers of Interior and Justice to discuss and sign a number of Arab agreements.
